A grieving woman has taken to social media to express her pain following the tragic death of her mother, who was reportedly killed in a gas trailer accident in Kubwa, Abuja.
In an emotional video shared on TikTok, she recounted how she initially received a call informing her that her mother was unwell, only to later discover the devastating truth.
According to her, the incident occurred on April 1, 2026, when her mother was returning home and was struck by a trailer delivering gas to a filling station identified as Sunberth in Kubwa .
The accident reportedly claimed the lives of her mother and six other individuals.
Speaking through tears in the video, she said:
“I am feeling so much pain in my heart, i am not okay, so i have to do this video…… On the 1st of april 2026 I got a call that i should run and come that my mother was not okay, they lied to me just for me to get there and i found out that my mom was dead.
“The story was that my mother went somewhere and she was coming back an she was hit by a trailer that delivered gas to this filling station (Sunberth) Located in Kubwa the trailer killed my mother and 6 others according to them and we have been going to the police station just for this filing station to say they are giving us N1.5M to do what….. To buy garri for the rest of our life?”
She further expressed concern about her family’s future, explaining that her late mother was their only parent and the sole provider for her and her siblings.
She noted that she has younger siblings, including one still in school, and questioned how the family would survive on the reported compensation offered.
