Prophet Chukwudi has warned Peter Obi to be careful, the cleric said that Tinubu government is behind calls for Obi to contest alone
A well-known Nigerian cleric, Prophet Emmanuel Chukwudi, has declared that the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, will not become president in 2027 if he chooses to contest independently. Chukwudi, who leads the King of Kings Deliverance Ministry in Ebonyi State, claimed that individuals urging Obi to run solo are allegedly being backed by the Bola Tinubu-led federal government.
Speaking to journalists in Abakaliki, the state capital, Chukwudi warned that Obi’s path to Nigeria’s highest office can only be realised if he aligns with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
“God has told me times without number that Atiku must rule Nigeria, and God has told me that Obi will rule Nigeria, but that his time has not yet come,” the cleric stated.
According to him, Obi must support Atiku in the 2027 elections to secure his own future presidency.
The prophet, known for a series of political predictions including the rise of Goodluck Jonathan, Muhammadu Buhari, and former U.S. President Donald Trump, said dark forces are working against the Labour Party and Obi’s ambition.
“If he doubts the word of God in my mouth, he should go and contest. Those pushing him are people being sponsored by this Tinubu’s government making everybody to suffer,” he alleged.
Chukwudi warned that any solo attempt by Obi in 2027 would be futile, urging the former Anambra governor to heed divine direction and work with Atiku, whom he described as “God’s chosen vessel for Nigeria in 2027.”
Drawing biblical parallels, he likened the relationship between Obi and Atiku to that of David and Prophet Samuel, asserting that “God uses people to bless others.”
“The truth is, both Obi and Atiku are destined to lead this country, but in due season. Come 2027, it is Atiku who must emerge President of Nigeria. That prophecy has remained consistent,” he stressed.
