ISOKOS ARE SAYING " MAI YUTE" MEANING ITS OUR TURN , TO PRODUCE THE NEXT GOVERNOR OF THE STATE
Among the three ethnic nationalities in Delta South senatorial district, it's only Isoko that had not produced a deputy governor or executive governor of Delta State.
We are vehement in our resolve that when the opportunity comes, rotation by equity should not be shuned in depriving such qualified ethnic group of what should go to that group on rotation as neighbours.
The creed is, love your neighbour as you love yourself, and that goes beyond the next-door apartment or street neighbour relationships. It means if you want equity, do equity unto others. In specific terms Isoko should not be boxed and be stampeded from producing a minister, federal board members and a governor among the 3 sister ethnic groups in the delta south senatorial district,namely isoko,itsekiri and ijaw.
It's the turn-on rotation that the Isokos should go for the slot of governorship not in hot contests with our neighbours but in refined politics of collaboration, good neighbour principles, promotion of brotherliness and good friendship.
After all apart from self pockets, the general assimilation is that rotation brings equity in politics and in social life. Hence, the same spirit should be the moral compass in its boundaries, in the interest of all. A healthy rotation enhances the overall well-being of the political and social friendships built over time by our political class for synergies. Let's shun rancour in every sense of it and build bridges.
Any ethnic group canvassing and consulting to up-stage isoko from getting the slot of governorship is about to standing unity and equity on its head and heating up the polity.
The isokos have done great support to our neighbours in the past, and never had the isokos worked in contestations against our neighbours at their time on call for the Isokos support. Our political leaders had in time pasts lend support in actualising our neighbours' dream positions.
Isoko deserves the support in reciprocity of all Delta senatorial districts in support of the slot of the governorship ticket to the Isoko Ethnic group.
