A 54-year-old father has been detained by Delta State police on suspicion of defiling his three children, ages 24, 15, and 13, in the Ugborikoko region of the state.
SP Bright Edafe, the command’s spokeswoman, stated in a social media video that the local DPO had visited a certain school as part of an outreach initiative.
He said that the DPO told the students during the outreach program that they may report anyone who was sexually harassing or defiling them.
According to Edafe, a 13-year-old kid at the school was brave enough to disclose that her father had been d@filing her since she was a little child following the program.
The suspect admitted to the crime during questioning. He claimed to have slept with them for the past seven years

He claimed that after committing the crime, he was always depressed.
When questioned, the oldest daughter claimed that since she was twelve and in primary six, her father had been defiling her.
She claimed that she was shy and thought it was abhorrent when asked why she didn’t report her father.
