Adeyanju made the criticism in a Facebook post after heavy rainfall left parts of Abuja, including Maitama, flooded.

He wrote: “Wike has destroyed Abuja. The town is stinking and flooded. I have never seen this kind of complete lunacy and greed before. Maitama and most parts of Abuja now flooded because of one man’s greed. How do you allocate canals and waterways to politicians to build estates on it?”

His comment has since generated mixed reactions from social media users, with some defending Wike while others supported Adeyanju’s concerns about Abuja’s development and drainage system.
