A 90 year old woman from Kirinyaga has shared an emotional story of love, loss and loyalty that has touched many hearts.
According To NewsVista Reporter, the elderly woman said she got married in the 1950s to her late husband who was her teacher.
She conceived shortly after marriage but sadly lost the baby six months after birth. Later, she suffered a miscarriage at three months and never conceived again.
After many years of trying, hospital tests revealed that their blood groups were not compatible for childbirth. Despite the pain, her husband never abandoned her. She even suggested he marry another woman, but he refused and warned her never to mention it again.
Hope came when a missionary family visited their home and shared how they had adopted children due to a similar condition. Inspired, the couple followed the process and adopted four young children.
They raised and educated them as their own. Today, all the children are grown and married. She says life was hard then, but she is now fulfilled and grateful
