She recalled the uncertainty they faced after the death of their mentor, Ojo Ladipo, who had been a major force in guiding their careers. But despite the setback, they found a way forward.
“That was when we formed the group Awada Keri Keri. We all stayed together until we eventually went our separate ways,” she added.
Reflecting on the nature of growth and change in the industry, she said, “You know the saying, ‘Twenty children cannot play together for twenty years.’ We became bosses in our own way.
