‎‎Nigerian Police Arrest Abuja Resident Allegedly Supplying Ammunition To Bandits In Zamfara.


‎According to a statement released by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspect who resides in Anguwan Dodo, Gwagwalada, was apprehended on 7th December 2025 around 3:30pm.

‎A32-year-old man identified as Ahmed Abubakar, 32 has been arrested by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command for allegedly supplying ammunition to bandits operating in Zamfara State.

‎According to a statement released by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the suspect who resides in Anguwan Dodo, Gwagwalada, was apprehended on 7th December 2025 around 3:30pm.

‎She explained that the arrest followed actionable intelligence received by the Command’s Tactical Team.

‎Preliminary investigations revealed that Abubakar was in contact with an associate, Yusuf Mohammed, with plans to procure 1000 rounds of ammunition for criminal elements in Zamfara.

‎Further inquiries indicated that Abubakar was allegedly acting on instructions from his uncle, Ahmed Yakubu, who is believed to be a key accomplice and is currently at large.

‎“The suspect is currently in police custody as further investigative efforts are underway to apprehend the fleeing accomplice and dismantle the criminal network involved,” Adeh said.
